How early can you play Christmas music?

How early can you play Christmas music?

Fairy tale of New York by the Pogues featuring Kirsty McColl released in 1988 must be my favourite Christmas tune. I know not “PC” these days, but I still love the collaboration between these two artists. Christmas tunes and films seem to get earlier and earlier. Love or hate you cannot help but get into the spirit once Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations are over. As, I am sure you can imagine from my opening paragraph F&R is full on Christmas with the initial window display completed and displays of loveliness inside galore! Cosy with style this Autumn 🍂

Cosy with style this Autumn 🍂

Whilst not wishing to say goodbye to this glorious Summer of 2022 I do love Autumn and the changing colours. Even buying a couple of bunches of daffs or tulips immediately brightens a room and can be placed in anything too. I currently have some daffodils in a pint glass. Lots of wonderful pieces are arriving, china and ceramics from my suppliers as well as vintage pieces which blend so well together. A wonderful aroma is also filling the shop with the arrival of some new limited edition Peppermint Grove candles...

Ouch, ouch my fingers are sensitive following deleting all the emails received last week or so for Black Friday and Cyber Monday all offering “the deal.” They cannot all be true……Can they? I know from speaking to some of you in the Boutique you share my frustration too. Normally “the deal” has already gone or worse still you put some things in your basket only to find they have sold out before you can check out!!! Who like me would like to see an end to these 2 days annually and go back to the traditional sales at the end...
